On Saturday Morning, I racked the Brown Ale off of the trub (the protein and dead/dying yeast that's settled out), and into a 5-gallon glass carboy. Siphoning was a bit of a pain, but I managed. Hopefully, the beer will clear over the next couple weeks, and will be ready for bottling.
Here's something weird: The volume of beer in the primary bucket is greatly reduced from (what I thought was) its original volume in the beginning. Like, I could easily be missing a gallon or more. Maybe I mis-measured when I topped up, maybe the dog's been sneaking samples. I don't know. Evaporation's pretty unlikely, considering the airlock and all, and there's no puddle or stain, so there isn't a leak. So odd.
