Speaking of my inheritance I found a 5 bedroom mansion with 8,000 metres squared of grounds in Sweden for only £70,000. £70,000!! That is more tempting than, like, anything. Ever.
I finished the fake fairisle beret, will upload photos tomorrow when I've blocked it etc. It looks very handsome! A bit snug though, I'm hoping to stretch it :3 I have such a big head.
Bought the right needles for the Lopez jumper today, turned out I didn't actually have any. Ooh and I got some cable needles, they will be put to good use soon enough even if cable stuff has kinda been bumped to the bottom of the list...
Spent last night revising researching Buddhist and Tibetan symbols for the Free Tibet Scarf, decided on: a Buddhist prayer wheel, which is central to their faith and symbolises the Chinese chokehold on Tibetan Monks' beliefs and practices; clouds, which are a traditional nomad symbol in Tibet and symbolises the destruction of the traditional nomadic way of life; and a few other assorted Tibetan patterns that fit into the shape of the scarf. Will hopefully get around to putting all the ideas together into one design soon enough.
No knitting tomorrow though, tomorrow is revision time.
