Things I Have Learnt Today Regarding The Ancient Art Of Picniccing

Apr 04, 2008 23:24

When on a picnic:
 - Wearing heels is a bad idea, even if the picnic is Victorian themed and you figure that if you're going to suffer wearing a thick waistcoat you deserve to have shoes that match. Seriously, I was like a fricking dibber all day, I left all these holes behind me that would have been perfect for planting seeds in. Not impressed.
 - Pooh Sticks is a good game, but Extreme Pooh Sticks is even better. Screw using just one measly bridge - drop your stick off one bridge, then run to the next bridge along and wait to see whose emerges from the other side first. Especially rewarding if you have friends that look like Doctor Who when they run.
 - "Sword" fighting with massive tree branches is engaging, but ultimately dangerous and ends only in pain. I always knew my sword training would come in handy however.

I started Lopez, frogged it, and then started it again. Hopefully it will actually be the right size this time *grumble*
Barely knitted anything today, was too busy crying over Torchwood when I got home. It is like the only thing I watch on tv though, to my credit.

And now sleeps time.
