Plot Bunny Exorcism
I was re-reading the Scarlet Pimpernel as I tend do most times at Christmas as it is totally my favorite book. And I was thinking--you know who would be BFF? Percy Blakeney and Adam Lambert. They both love dress-up and Percy canonically loves actors. Adam could totally be an English actor who used to tour France and befriended Marguerite. And he could have through some complicated geneology just have inherited one of the largest estates in England. He could join Percy's band! And have a sword! (I admit the entire motivation for this is Regency clothes are sexy. As is Adam. Swords also. Ergo their combination can only=win.)
He and Kris could somehow and for totally unbelievable reasons be blackmailed into marriage. Kris could completely misinterpret him and then be forced to seduce Adam in turn when he figures out he does want it after all. (This would be reason #2 for writing this story--I really, really want someone to write a story where Kris has to do the convincing).
The problem is--I really really don't want to be known as that girl who writes the crazy, crazy AUs all the time. And I'm kind of already writing a story that I'd like to finish sometime in this lifetime. Also, there are a number of entirely charming Regency AUs in this fandom already, one of them involving forced marriage and a reluctant Kris, and I'm not sure the world really needs another. Plus, I'm not sure Percy works with more modern language or that Adam would work in Percy's, so that might be two twains that cannot meet.
Probably I'll just amuse myself with it in private and maybe just write the good scenes and throw them up under f-lock.
