Two Drabbles! (Challenge 13: Lightening Round)
Another writerverse challenge - this time to write up to five drabbles in two days. Thought I'd share them here. I hope to add some more before the deadline tomorrow.
Drabble 1 (Patient Zero)

Sam looked down at her hands, where intricate purple splotches were beginning to spread, and was filled with despair. They’d encountered the disease on a planet during a fairly routine mission last week. They’d taken all the necessary precautions: decontaminated after first exposure, wore hazmat suits when helping provide resources and care to the locals, maintained every protocol. When they got back to Earth, they sat patiently in the infirmary while Janet ran her many, many tests. They’d been cleared, and Sam had headed home, eager to escape the confines of quarantine. Now here she was, patient zero on Earth.
Drabble 2 (Pretty in Pink)

“Carter, I swear to God, if you ever tell anyone about this…” Jack threatened, his finger jabbing the air in emphasis.
“Or, you’ll what, Sir?” Sam couldn’t help but smirk.
Jack’s expression darkened. “I’ll write you up for insubordination, Major, that’s what!”
Sam laughed. “I don’t think that would work. I wouldn’t want to leave out any important details out of my report, Sir, now would I?”
“Carter!” Jack’s tone suddenly changed from angry to pleading. He gestured down at the fluffy pink tutu the local council had asked him to wear for the ceremony. “Please?”
Sam smiled evilly, “well, lemme think about it…”
