Is it just me or is it really skeevy that Amazon Marketplace wants your actual bank account information before you can list items for sale? They won't accept a credit card, PayPal, firstborn, nothing but your bank account.

All I wanted to do was clean out my closet!

Today I witnessed both a citizenship ceremony and a menorah-lighting, two things I had never done before. They were both pretty nifty.

The first order of business when obtaining a new identity is to change your default icon. (Well, after the haircut.) This is one of my old ones, but I like it for a lot of reasons, not least being that it's dirty laundry in public, which is what LJ is all about.

It was not. Frankly, though, that's good advice.

Still, I have not yet seen a case of spontaneous combustion on this version. It seems to be chock full of too many aliens and not enough semi-supernatural crap.

It is never sunny in Leicestershire.

I know that when you are driving a vehicle with a standard transmission you are supposed to turn on and start driving it in first gear. I also know that with a little skill, you can do the same in second gear.

What I learned today is that it is also possible to turn on and start driving a vehicle in third gear. But I do not recommend it.

I seem to not have had much success in my resolution to update ye olde LJ more often. Um. I have, on the other hand, somewhat cleaned up my room. And there is a lot of stuff from my room that I am going to get rid of, which makes me very happy. I may just have to do a Great Stuff Giveaway with some of the more random items.
