One of the great ones, Paul Newman, died of cancer on Friday night at his home in Westport, Conn.

Here's a bit from my favorite Newman movie:

The great Bernie Mac is gone. The comedian died at a Chicago hospital, losing his battle with pneumonia. The cause of death was listed as "complications from pneumonia ( Read more... )

We knew we were officially back in NYC a few minutes after we arrived. Em and I got a cab from Penn Station. We're going down the West Side Highway past the heliport and a chopper was landing.
