Day Three; I guess that's why they call them the Blues

Greetings dear readerrrrrrr......

That was the Doppler effect as we blasted past you on the Interstate!

I am writing this as we are motoring down Route 55 at the respectable clip of 73 MPH on our way to St. Louis. We just passed a sign for something called the Prairie Grass Restoration Area which goes for the next 101 miles or so. The Los Lobos version of "La Bamba" is on the radio and a State Trooper just passed us not interested in us.

This morning, we braved Chicago weather and traffic to visit the Leather Archives and Museum. A fascinating exhibit and a must this weekend for any of you who might be going to Kinky Kollege 2009. My favorite moment was the "bar room" under the stairwell that has the drinks menu from the late lamented LURE in NYC. Ahhh memories.

We are going to the Scottrade Center tonight to see the St. Looey Blues take on the Minnesota Wild in a battle of hockey powers. Should be fun as this is my first non-Eastern-Conference NHL game. And again, Auntie Paris is putting us up, with promises that I teach Tinkerbell how to throw an eight-foot Peter Jack.

OK. Onward to the Arch.
