I had a meeting with a charity based in the London Borough of Camden; they said they'd like to help the bi community put on an event in Camden. There will be some funding, yay! They were happy that I wanted a (Camden) venue that is wheelchair accessible.
This is an event that would happen on or around 23rd September this year. What would be good to have at a bi pride event?
Music/drama thing/film(s)/swimming/bi smut reading. What else can you think of? Do you know anyone who'd be happy to perform for free/expenses?
How can we tweak the event so that we widen our appeal and more people of BME extraction and non-university educated people find it attractive? (I know there is a danger of stereotyping etc., I'm trying to be careful.)
There's a possibility that we could use the 52 club in Bloomsbury, central London. It has a swimming pool, a bar area and various spaces for socialising/putting on a film. It is in a basement and has a lift.
Although this is a London event, please answer even if you don't live near London - I'd like your ideas.
