I did my first 10K this morning.

- 4.5 hours sleep last night due to teenagers giggling in one of the stairwells until 2.30am.
- 1hr 16 mins time.
- Average speed 7.9kmph
- I ran on my own the whole time. For the first 5 or 6km I was the last person, then a couple of people alternated jogging with walking and I overtook them. Though I wasn't racing anyone, it was good to not come last.
- I got lapped (faster people were doing their second lap as I was doing my first lap) after 3km or so, but they yelled out encouragement to me: mostly 'Go Chasers!'. That was really good.
- I ran the furthest I've ever ran.
- I concentrated on going as slowly as I could whilst still jogging. I had a comfortable pace of around 20 minute/kilometer for a lot of it.
- Johnny wants to push me to do it in an hour next time.
- I socialised quite a bit afterwards, and enjoyed watching some of the fun races with a couple of people from my running group.
- I am now very tired and very hungry and my computer is neither bed nor larder.
