Re-write needed for london resources on bi.org

Jun 09, 2010 14:16

http://london.bi.org/ is full of out of date information, and the first sentence is really off-putting. "The bi scene in London is ... quieter than you might expect." It is unclear who has written this page, the person who manages the site doesn't know.

Inaccuracies:

"The London Bisexual Group - which met for over 20 years every Friday at the London Friend in King's Cross - recently went on hiatus." -- This happened over 5 years ago (I think). So it's not 'recent'.

"The Bisexual Underground aims to be a new sort of night out for London's bisexuals" -- This group has been running for 10 years now! The website also mentions a non-smoking area, which is obsolete since the smoking ban.

It says that London Bi Women's Group is currently running, which it isn't.

It has the wrong (old) day for Bi Coffee.

It has the wrong (old) information about London Bifest and BiCon.

For the first paragraph, I suggest we have:

"London calling to the underworld: come out of the cupboard, you boys and girls"
The Clash - London Calling
There are three current bisexual groups that meet in London: London Bisexuals on meetup.com, Bi Coffee London and Bisexual Underground.

Can anyone pad that out and jolly it up?

I'm keeping this as a public post for now.
