The only thing we have to fear is fear itself. That quote by FDR is so true (apart of course from when it isn't; some fears should be taken seriously). The fear of change is so much scarier than the actuality of change. With that in mind, I enquired about three jobs this morning and applied for two of them. I shall rinse/repeat tomorrow. Go team Nye!!!
In December I applied to do a 15 point/second year level distance learning course at the Open University: Politics, media and war; 9/11 and its impacts. It isn't an area I want to concentrate on (I want to do Social Policy and Sociology), but it'll be a good return to study type course, and it should be interesting. It starts in April, and it's free to me because I'm on benefits. It's taken me about a year to get around to applying for it, I'm glad I fought the procrastination monster and won.
Eep, got to run! Work Directions appointment with stand-in adviser. He'll be all encouraging at me, bah.
