I hardly speak the queen's English myself
I had a bit of a dilemma last week. I put a couple of things up on freecycle, and one of the first responses was from someone who wrote to me in txtspeak. I just couldn't bring myself to reply to her, I was so creeped out by a stranger using txtspeak on me. a) They were trying to get something for free from me, b) they wanted my box of books. Books are precious, how could I give them to someone who wrote like that?
I am very judgemental and a terrible snob. I was also hypomanic, so most of my personality flaws were heightened. She wrote back to me last night, asking for a reply, and I responded with 'They've gone to someone who didn't write to me in txtspeak.' I got an angry response to that (fair enough), and it was laden with txtspeak! 'excuse me! who the fucki do u think u r! u determine who gets the stuff u offer by the way they write an email! get off ur high horse, this aint a fuckin test.'
If she had wanted the other stuff I'd have happily given it her, but she wanted books.
