an update?

Yes, an update.  How about that?  Well, URI is going well.

I've met alot of new people.  Most of them are theatre people.  I've been hanging out with Micah and Jon Paul from Prout a whole lot.  I've made friends in each of my classes, and made friends at every turn during auditions and monologues.

School itself is going well.  I love *most* of my classes.  This is something along the lines of i love acting, i love film...im starting to love my honors econ class....and i skip american politics whenever possible.  this is because ive known everything about that class since i was....idk, 12?

Anyway, there's tons of work, but i'm staying on top of it.  it hasnt been a problem thus far.

Allie has been amazing.  i see her every day, and it's always the highlight of my day...i couldn't be happier.

As for theatre:
I'm volunteering as a TA shadow for the THE100 gen ed class for non majors.  Basically, i'm the director's assitant for a one act play.  and it's great.  Eventually, after two shadow jobs, i can TA for credit.  After that, i'll get paid for it.  AWESOME.

In auditioning for Fat Pig, i got an aside, which basically means i made the first cut and got to read a second scene before being sent home.  I didn't get a role, but i felt like i put myself out there and it worked.

Last weekend, i auditioned for The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, this year's musical.  I got a callback, one of like 12 freshman out of 35.  So that was a nice feeling.  Last night, at callbacks, it got better.  We all danced and sang for two hours, then they sent home all but roughly 10 guys.  I was one of those ten.  Then , they had each of us read a monologue for one of the lead characters.  Then, they sent home all but 5.  I was one of those five.  They broke us up into the three main male parts.  I got to audition again, this time for the part of the Governor.  I had to dance a kooky dance and then learn and sing a song.  I was up against only two other guys...so i've got a chance.  It's nice, regardless of whether or not i got a part, just to get as far as i did...i was the last freshman remaining, everyone else was an upperclassmen...idk, it was pretty thrilling.  so, the cast list goes up tomorrow, i'll edit this then.

Nice vicariously talking to ya!
