Break out your bikini or swim trunks, and join us and our hand-picked crowd of artsy, different, funky (and nearly naked) New Yorkers for the glorious return of Gemini & Scorpio's legendary Russian Baths party (as seen in The Village Voice "Best of 2006"). We will have the newly remodeled & sparkling clean baths to ourselves, with every steam room and sauna ready to please, plus a few hand-picked professionals on hand for the optional platzas and massages. Inside, Slavic Soul Party!, NYC's ultimate Balkan party band, will get you sweating faster than the saunas with fiery Balkan brass, hip-grinding American funk, and ecstatic anthems both new and old. DJ Joro-Boro, collaborator on SSP!'s brand new remix album and former resident DJ of the infamous Mehanata (Bulgarian Bar), keeps the dance floor sizzling with his hot EthnoMesh Megalophonia mix while we dole out pierogies for everyone. There will be an open vodka bar 10-11pm. The cash bar will feature drinks at decidedly non-NYC prices.
With only 100 tickets available, all of our past baths parties have sold out in one week. This time around, we introduce a tiered pricing structure and staggered entry times to accommodate more guests: $75 (7pm entry + open vodka bar + multi-course Russian feast) /$55 (9pm entry + open vodka bar) / $35 (11pm entry). More details on each ticket tier are on our website.
This is the kind of party you always imagine, but can never quite find in real life...and may be the only one where you'll come out cleaner than when you came in.
