Two weekends ago (the beginning of June) I was down in Cincinnati and surrounding areas for some good ol' Cincinnatian Arch learning. Andy took his students out to the causeway today to collect fossils for lab. Jayne had said earlier this week that he needed vans, so I figured that's what was up. Field trip! I took five of my students down to Kentucky to look at Maysville rocks. Six had said they were going, but the sixth (my friend) was late. We left at 8:05 and I had said we were leaving "promptly at 8" so, it was his fault for not being on time. It's what you have to know about being a geologist. Morning was quite fun. Not only did I have to clear a few inches of snow off the car, but I had to clear the snow out from behind my car so I could get out. So glad that the car behind me had already left and had cleared out around her spot on Saturday. This mean all I had to do was clear off from just behind the Bullitt and I was good.
