Forever job hunting it seems
Tomorrow's my first test in paleo. I hope they do well. I think they will, but one never knows, right? At least I don't have to do anything but chill in my office while they do such work, which means I can work on other things.
Physical class went well on their first test, so I'm quite happy for that.
Went to the doctor today. It was really just a "hey, here's a doc in case you need a doc while in Richmond" kind of visit. She was really nice and fun to talk to. Her nurse was nice too. I'm quite happy with the person even if the hospital system is considered the devil by just about everyone.
What else...I'm job hunting again. Kind of. I don't want to leave (have I talked about this before) but as Andy says "Better to look when you don't need one." Which is true. I can apply to head back to Boone. They've got one open for actual tenure-track. I'll probably apply, but, I dunno. I enjoyed the people and the place, but I still remember being so separated from everyone. You know, because I was in the other building and all. That probably won't happen again, but who knows.
I also think of having to go back to a large lecture and UGH. I like my small lecture size. I like knowing my students. But a job's a job, right? And a forever job is definitely what I want to find.
Nothing else super exciting going on. Molly and I are just living like we are living. Isolated and (mostly) happy. (mostly because, well, I do take anti-depressants for a reason and I'm feeling a bit of the blahs right now. But, it could be because I'm tired.)
