"what exactly is it about jrock bands do you like?"

Last week , someone I volunteer with asked me what it is exactly about jrock band that I like...y'know, since I kind of lost interest in American bands. All I told them was:
"I dunno. I just think their music better than American bands."

1. the connection or bond between the band and fans.
2. they keep you updated so you know that they're alive
3. they're constantly producing & releasing something new
4. the music/lyrics

explanations:

1. I don't know how to explain it exactly, but the bond between the band members & their fans is really deep/tight. if a member of the band is sick, everyone worries about it like it’s a big thing, you know? take alice nine. for example. tora had spinal hernia, almost everyone freaked out about it and sent him their love & sympathy and hoped for the best for him; even though the members of alice nine said that the fans shouldn’t worry about it, I bet all the fans thought it was the best thing to do to help Tora get through. I don’t know about American bands, but if a member of an American band is sick, I think the most they’ll get is “I hope you feel better soon” and that’s it. Unlike Tora, he’d probably get LOADS more love from fans than an American band would. Fan-girls don’t count, I know -_- Plus all the ‘happy birthday’s’, fan mail, and all that ‘good stuff’ shows how much fans love the band or a specific member x) Also, if a your favorite jrock band broke up, wouldn’t you make a big deal about it? I know I would..
and~ during their lives, they do those para para dances, have meanigful MC's, their songs make you cry x]
Also the personal interviews that magazines have with members. Even though you’ve never met the jrockers, the interviews let you know what kind of person the vocalist or guitarist is and it makes you feel slightly closer to them, since you know some things about them;
(ha-ha, that just sounds like a start for stalker-status, but I hope you get what I mean…)

2. Because you know how most American bands just seem to disappear, and you know if the band broke up or not. But with jrock bands, they blog almost all the time to keep you updated with their life & how the band is doing. Sure, American bands might think “that’s my personal life” or whatever, but hey, at least let your fans know how you’re doing…right? Plus, a lot of bands are constantly doing photo shoots, sure they aren’t famous in the world of acting, but they’re hella famous in the world of music, right?

3. yeah, yeah, yeah. Jrock bands produce singles almost every 4-6 months and it’s a waste of money to buy something with just 1 or 3 songs on it. Who cares? At least we get to hear what they sound like now, compared to their earlier stuff and at least we know what we’re going to expect in the upcoming album or whatever. American bands…I don’t know, but it seems like every year or two they release something new.

4. The music and lyrics…I don’t know how to explain this properly… but to me, it’s like, even though/if you don’t understand that the hell they’re saying because it’s in Japanese, you can tell what kind of song it is just by listening to the music. For me, my example would be ガゼット’s 枯詩. I’m in LOVE with the song, because it’s just an amazing song. Before, even though I didn’t know what the lyrics meant, just by listening to how well Ruki’s amazing voice mixes oh so well with the guitars, drum & bass, I knew it was a sad song. I’m full aware, most of ガゼット songs are sad, but still. What I’m trying to say is, if you didn’t know what the song was about, you can tell through the music & the way the vocalists sings the song.

Sorry if none of this made any sense at all (^_^;)

If anyone opposes to any of this, that’s fine.
It’s just my opinion about things &just reasons why
I’d pick jrock band over American bands any day.
