Better

I'm feeling a lot better today than I was yesterday. I talked to O Malley yesterday and he pretty much said that there aren't any foreseeable problems with the buyers and all should go through smoothly. Closing will most likely be on the 10th of May as planned, but possibly the 11th. My appraisal is today, and the guy should be at my house right ( Read more... )

what are you getting rid of? taya and i might want some of it for our new place! i'm excited that we might be living within 5 minutes of each other pretty soon! where is your apartment going to be located?

i agree with paying the first month's rent so you can move in slowly and not be completely frazzled. i would do the same thing!

I'm keeping most of the kitchen furniture.

I'm giving away/selling:
All those tall black bookshelves that are in my doll room. The black entertainment center that my doll mansion used to sit on. The older furniture (extertainment center, coffeetable) that was in my living room are going back to my parents for them to sell. I am getting rid o my computer desk and possibly my bed. I'm getting rid of the couch for sure. I'll be putting it all out this Saturday, but LMK if you want any of it. BTW, did you have any kind of tracking on the tickets you mailed? The buyer hasn't answered my emails asking if she received them, and I just wanted to check on it. Either way, if you did get some kind of delivery confirmation or insurance, don't throw away any of the papers until the buyer confirms that she got the tix.

well, i didn't get tracking on the tickets. i guess i should have! that was the week that i was sick, so i just wanted to get them in the mail. but you'd think if the buyer didn't receive them, they'd be raising holy hell because the festival is this weekend! so i'm taking that as a good sign?

and taya thinks maybe she wants the bookshelves, so hold on to them until you talk to her.

The only problem that may arrise is that if the buyer claims that she didn't receive them, and she paid with Paypal, I have no proof that it was ever mailed. So if the buyer files something against me, they will automatically win their money back. We'll just keep our fingers crossed that that won't happen. Is there any way to check if they use the tickets this weekend?

I don't know the exact location of the apt, but I can see the blinking 5 pts lights from the street, so it's only a few blocks. I'm excited about living close to you both also.
