I'm feeling a lot better today than I was yesterday. I talked to O Malley yesterday and he pretty much said that there aren't any foreseeable problems with the buyers and all should go through smoothly. Closing will most likely be on the 10th of May as planned, but possibly the 11th. My appraisal is today, and the guy should be at my house right now. I basically need it to be appraised for at least the selling price. John said however, that he doesn't see any problems with that either.
I have decided, even though it means a bit extra money, to just pay the first months rent at Rusty's apt. Though it will be extra money out of the pocket, the less stress will be worth it. That way, I can slowly move my stuff into the apt. I have already had some of you offer to help, so I may be calling some of you :) My main obstacle is moving a queen sized bed. I know it won't fit in my SUV the way the twin beds can. So I know I have to strap it to the roof, which I don't want to do. Can pickups carry a queen bed? I have tossed the idea of Uhaul, however, last time I rented a Uhaul, with the mileage, it cost me $80-90 just moving from Riverside to OP. Who knows, it may be worth the extra money just to get one Uhaul and take care of it all in one shot. That would include taking the washer and dryer to storage, and taking the leftover furniture to my apt.
I will be having a yard sale this Saturday. I even opted out of a teacher thing I signed up for. I chose the yard sale as more important since I am trying to lessen the stress. I'm hoping to get rid of a lot of the furniture that you all have seen in my house. If anyone has had their eye on any stuff you've seen in mi casa, please LMK. I'll sell it cheap or even give it away. My goal is to take as least as possible to the new apt. I really just want the bare essentials at the new place.
I have already started packing items that will go into the storage unit. And today was 20 cent listing day on Ebay, so I listed more stuff on there. I'm hoping as I weed myself through items, whether by selling or packing, the stress will lessen also. Even though I have been feeling the stress, it doesn't outweigh the happiness I'm feeling of selling the house. It will be nice to have a nice chunk of moolah to sit in the bank and not touch. Of course, I'm using some portion of it to pay debts, but other than that, the rest will go into the bank to use as a down payment for the next house.
