Dreams...

...are bizarre.

I had a dream - might've been last night - that the keys of my keyboard were flaking off. In chunks. I thought they were somebody else's, and tried to fit them into the holes in the keyboard of the person sitting next to me, but they wouldn't go. I tried to fit them into my own keyboard, but they wouldn't go. Then I turned them upside-down. Then they fit.

Another dream - this one I know I had last night - about, er, unusual living situations. I was living in a neighborhood like the one I grew up in. That's how it looked and smelled - like Ball Sq. in the late afternoon in the springtime.

Only, there wasn't enough space for me to sleep in the place where I was living. So I had to around the block and across a street to get to my bed, which was up three flights of a wooden staircase - my bed was built right into the staircase, under the eaves of the fourth floor of the house. When I looked up I could see the white gutter pipes and darkish blue-grey house shingles.

And I was fine with that, in my dream. I only thought, what if it rains? My bed'll get wet. But it didn't rain. It was perfectly clear through the whole dream. The sheets were a sort of mulberry or dark pink. I don't actually have any sheets that color. That would be a cool coincidence.

There was only one other person in my dream. Not anyone I know well, but someone I'm pretty sure I have at least seen in real life. Of course, I can't remember who she is now. Blonde and had long, curly-ish hair....yeah, that narrows it down. Well, anyway, she was on the third-floor porch of the house next door (about 15 feet away), and from my bed I could see her arguing with someone else (who I couldn't see) about rent. Their porch was made of dark wood (my wooden staircase was light-colored - pine?) and all grown over with vines.

That's about all I can remember. Are my dreams terribly strange? I never dream about anything relevant to real life (though once I played Age of Empires for about a week straight and then I dreamed of commanding little computer men), so I hope they don't mean anything.

The first dream was possibly a premonition, as my '.' key has just popped off. Unlike in my dream, however, I can't get it back on, no matter how I try. It has this little folding bit that goes around the button (which, fortunately, I can still press), and it won't snap back on... :(

Makes me wonder if someday soon I'm going to find myself sleeping outside on a staircase...
