so. my trip was fucking amazing...but more on that later, thats not whats really on my mind.
i get home, greet my mother. and on the drive home after traveling for close to a day and a half over several time zones and 4000 miles. she tells me my grandfather has cancer.
-long pause-
i don't know what to think...my grandparents have been as close to be as my own parents. life changes so fast...you blink and its spinning out of control. its funny because he's been trying to make some MAJOR life changes (like moving down to florida) that now have to be postponed or even eliminated. he just recently retired...which is something unheard of for him, he's ALWAYS going a mile a minute. when he doesn't have something to do, he breaks something so he can spend the day fixing it. he needs to have things to do...and 2 weeks after he retired, he "threw out" his back. which turned out to be cancer pushing on his spine.
i don't know what else to say right now.
