Rain rain rain rain rain

Okay, so it has been a long time since I posted too.  I guess it just always feels like there's nothing going on.  It does seem like we've been kind of busy the past month or so, but I'm not sure what we were doing.  :)

Our trip to Cleveland was okay, except that we came back sick and had to be treated for possible whooping cough since the baby nephew had it.  Weird weird in-laws who don't believe in immunizations.   It  was nice to have a week off work at any rate.

Work has been pretty good lately.  I have mostly felt like I could keep up, so that is good.  I always like to have just enough work that it is a little bit of a challenge to get done, but still quite possible.  I feel bad when I can't do a good job.  I am really lucky now that I work with good nurses and good aides.  When I was working on the East side of town I didn't always feel so good about my team, but the past few months I have consistently felt like I could count on my nurses to do their jobs well.  The hard part for me about working on a team is that when someone else doesn't do their job, I personally feel bad/angry that the patient has been let down.

Oh, speaking of work I had my annual evaluation on Wednesday and my supervisor gave me a super good eval.  It's a six point scale where 3 = generally (80% of the time) meets expectations, 4= consistently (100%) meets expectations, 5 = consistently exceeds expectations, and 6 = outstanding/ expert in field.  She told me that a 3 is considered average and they are told not to really give 6's because they really mean you are perfect.  Anyway, she gave me all 4's and 5's, so that was really good.  To be honest, I know I don't meet expectations 100%+ of the time, but it's okay if she thinks so. :)  I haven't heard yet what my raise will be because they have this set calculation that says you should get a certain perecent increase based on your evaluation, but I went to our general manager and asked for more than that.  She has to submit some kind of "compensation adjustment" form to the regional manager who approves it or not.  I think it will get approved, but I didn't hear yet.  , so

Nothing much else is going on.  Evan will be leaving the monday after thanksgiving and going to Santa Clara for probably 3 weeks, so I will have lots of time to myself.  Lots of time to paint pottery. :)
