The film deals with the topic of hair in the Black community, particularly the amounts of money that Black women are willing to spend in order to get "good hair". Listening to this, and missing the summer of 2009, during which I performed in an adaptation of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" that involved me singing with a doo-wop fairy quartet. I wish we could get together & sing songs like this. hehe.

Haven't had much of an opportunity to sing in a show since. I plan to rectify that next spring/summer.

I'm going to be adding a lot more people on here soon -- some I know in real life, some I don't.  I probably won't be too picky, but we'll see.

As of this point, I am not entirely certain what I am going to do with this space -- by that, I mean what purpose it will serve for me.  I suppose that's what this entry is designed to help me figure ( Read more... )
