Negatives can be positive.
Great news. Test results (fetal fibronectin) from OB indicate with a really high degree of certainty I will not be having a baby in the next two weeks!
Considering how much pain I was in last night, and the terrible muscle spasms I'm having in my back right now, this is a huge relief. A positive result on that test has less meaning but I can tell you if it weren't negative I'd be really concerned about my lower back pain (which despite all my other common chronic pains) I NEVER have.
Negative also means that even if it hurts I CAN walk around and do SOME things, even though I've been given orders to stay resting as much as possible. But I know I will try to make dinner tonight and tomorrow at least!
Mark has been home for the last two days, and that has made it possible to take it extra easy, but tomorrow he'll be gone all day until 9p. So it's good to know I can do some stuff without fear that it will be sending me into labor.
