Merry Christmas!~
its that time of the year again, for family bonding, gift exchange & also the time to go broke =P
this is the first time in my life where i spent christmas away from my family... i was tasked to organize my company's christmas party... on Christmas eve...
it was fun and excting and it lasted from 6pm all the way till 1.30am! but nothing beats quality time being spent with the family...
its a yearly tradition to spend christmas with my mum's side where we'll celebrate my cousin's birthday (on Christmas eve) and countdown till Christmas day... but this year... the Christmas boy (& some relatives) are away on a holiday... leaving behind half the family strength...
didn't help that sis is in London this year... so mum & dad attended the christmas celebrations at another relative's place, while me and Jason were at my company's party...
somehow, christmas just didn't feel really "right" this year... not sure if its because the time seems to be passing really quickly, or my sis is not around... but i didn't even have the mood to do christmas shopping (except for some items)...
kinda gave up shopping for presents for the kids and their families (its a tradition that we'll buy a present for everyone younger than us, plus a family gift for all the families, and we'll also throw in something handmade for all the ladies), but this year, i just cut the chase and bought Royce chocolates for everyone...
i never felt so lazy to do christmas shopping before, and of course, i never spent THAT much money on chocolates before, but i'm glad i made the right choice for the brand of chocolates =)
i still have 7 boxes sitting in the fridge.. waiting to be delivered...
and as soon as christmas is here... its over and CNY is coming!! I've already gotten a top for CNY! talk about kiasu-ness... Happen to see it while shopping for a Christmas gift for my sis and thought that it'll be so perfect for CNY, the top being fuchsia with pretty flowers! Just need to get a nice pair of pants and i'll have one outfit settled!
Am also trying to plan a short vacation overseas (or anywhere) in Jan, but our schedule seems to be super tight! I need a break from all the work and rush! =(
and a lovely beach holiday seems so tempting!!! *sigh*
on a sidenote, i'm glad for the mid-week holiday this week and the long holiday next week! applied for leave on the 2nd Jan, and i can have a super duper long holiday!!
yippee!
Merry Christmas to all again and Best wishes for 2009~! =)
