OMG GUYS! For the first time since 2003 I have managed to convince someone to come to
FACTS with me!
instead of a con report (who are we kidding here?) you guys get a bunch of photos with comments, ain't it cool?
Luckily, Louise and I tried on our costumes Friday night (it takes me an hour to put everything on, apparently >.<). I say luckily because at least we then held no illusions about the possibility of us getting dressed before leaving on Saturday morning.
My parents really liked the whole thing (O.o) and so my dad took a couple of pictures. Note that I'm not wearing my corset here ^^
All went relatively well and so on Saturday morning off we go to Ghent! We were planning on meeting Sarah in the train but it was kinda packed (as usual) and we ended up sitting in another wagon (though not, as we usually end up doing, in between wagons XD). and then we pissed everyone already sitting there by trying to do Louise's hair with about a ton of hairspray...
There was a HUGE queue! it was so weird...apparently it was still there around 11h which...uh, guys? this is the FACTS, yeah? what's up with that? We were planning to finish getting dressed in the hall before buying the tickets but that was just impossible so we ended up changing outside in the queue with Sarah and Toudou (met him on the train! OH and best wishes to Ukki, Mel and Ephy who mush have been freezing outside in the rain at BS XD)
Met cute steamy guy in the queue !!
Inside we headed straight for the cosplay changing rooms and left all our crap there (nice changing rooms! a mirror would be better).
OF COURSE first thing I see is a Kurama changing in front of us! she was a bit shocked that I recognised her so easily but let's be honest here, I barely needed to see the tunic from the back before she put her wig on to recognise her ^^;; She said that there was also a Koenma walking around and I think I saw him but we were fighting our way to go in opposite directions in a crowded corridor at the time so I couldn't take a picture :(
Look who else we met in the dressing room! Why yes, it IS Sophie (she didn't have a stand this year). They did an awesome skit later on stage with Phantom of the Opera remix as their background music.
The steampunk costumes blend in eerily well into practically everything....
Steamy people!
More steamy people!! They were really nice too. We talked for a bit and turns out we were on all the same sites XD
Lookitme! I found a Second Doctor badge!
Louise found an actual Doctor...
Then we saw a Jack-off...
In the seriously well done cosplay category we also had Mad-Eye Moody
In the SQUEE! cosplay category we have DOCTOR HORRIBLE AND CAPTAIN HAMMER!!!!! ZOMG GUYS!!!! Poor Hammer-man was all dressed up to leave when I caught them and graciously undressed for the camera ^^
In the awesome cosplay category we had PAC MAN WHO TRIDE TO EAT US WHEN WE WERE WALKING DOWN THE AISLES AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
And finally, in the I-never-expected-to-see-THAT! cosplay category we have the Fairly Odd Parents!
And then we collapsed, got something to eat (including about 100g of pure sugar from the candy stand), got screwed over by the SNCB on our way back (as usual) and that's about it. I personally slept for about 13 hours afterwards and I believed that Louise greatly enjoyed losing her con-virginity so all in all the day was a great success.
THE END
