OFFICIAL NOTICE 1: BANNED SUBSTANCES

Students are reminded that the following items are considered contraband and will be confiscated immediately.

Pure or castor sugar.
Powdered sugar.

All artificial sweeteners (in their uncooked form), including;
- Aspartame (Nutrasweet, Equal, etc.)
- Saccharin (Sweet 'n' Low)
- Sucralose (Splenda)
- Neotame (Calogran)
- Acesulfate potassium (Nutrinova)
Cinnamon.
Pixy Stix.
Sherbet.
Salt.
Ginger.
Flour.
Baking Soda.
All (excepting Pixy Stix and Aspartame) are available for use in the kitchens only.

Talc.
Dessicant.
Baby powder.
Powdered make-up. (Solid make-up is acceptable, but students are reminded that colours are to be kept natural)

Illegal substances (which carry heavy penalties), including:
- Gamma Hydroxybutyric Acid (GHB)
- Ketamine (Special K, Cat Valium)
- Cocaine
- Dextromethorphan (DXM)
- Ecstasy (E, XTC)
- Heroin
- Methamphetamine (Meth, Speed)

Any drug not perscribed by the school nurse and/or moderated by the Head of Dorm, including;
- Painkillers (aspirin, paracetamol, tylenol)
- Contraception ("the pill")
- Diet suppliments (Vitamin and mineral suppliments)
All are available on request from the Infirmary.

Any alcahol including
- Rubbing alcahol
- Alcahol for "medicinal purposes."

Flammable liquids including
- Parrafin.
- Lighter Fluid.
- Bleach
- Oil
- Petrol

Cigarettes and tobacco.

Syringes.

Electronic devices. (Watches are allowed. Other items may be allowable. Consult a teacher.)

Furthermore, in incoming mail the following items will be confiscated immediately:

Any liquid (may be returned subject to testing) including;
- Bottled water
- Lemonade
- Perfumes and fragrances
- Sprays and aerosols
- Deodrants

Toothpaste.

Any blades or sharp objects including
- Cuticle cutters
- Mathematical compasses
- Penknives or Swiss Army knives.
