So, I made it out the door around 1030am this morning. Drove through 5 points and found AL's. It was about 1045am and there was no parking spot to be found. Also, next time you are looking for a lunch place, go to Nikki's on Finley Blvd. It's a meat and three kinda place and it is A-MAZING. Just be ready because that line moves REALLY fast and they don't wanna wait around for you to finish a phone conversation. It's pretty intense but well worth it.

It helps to be a UAB person... The big lot across the street is student/faculty parking (always full, though).
As far as good places to eat, I could go on and on...
I strongly second Niki's West! Also:
Ted's (Meat & 3, 4th ave S and 12th street)
Nabeel's (Mediteranean, by the park in Homewood)
Pita Stop (Mid-eastern, on 12th street south, between 11th and 12th ave)
Out your way, not to be missed is Thai Emerald, on the corner of 119 and 280. Very elegant, pricey, and cool. Take someone special there!
