So, I made it out the door around 1030am this morning. Drove through 5 points and found AL's. It was about 1045am and there was no parking spot to be found. So.....I drove around the block several times. It was raining and hard to see traffic around this area. I had pulled forward into the crosslane trying to see traffic. Next thing I know some guy in a camo coat (probably a college student) starts pounding on my hood and yelling at me for pulling into the crosswalk. There was no one behind me so I figure this guy was just being a "rearend", if you catch my drift. I just ignored the guy after he spent 2-3 minutes yelling and beating my hood. His girlfriend was walking with him and she was trying to get him to stop. I really just wanted to run over him and say, "opps!" but reality got the best of me.
I circled around AL's about 5 more times and finally gave up. I now know that it is much easier to go to AL's at night when UAB college students, daily workers, and daily traffic are much less. I am very dissappointed and sad. To drive all the way there and not have a place to park. It's just riddiculous. So, I have settled for a Panera Panni sandwich and find myself back at my apartment watching the rain fall. So sad......
