My hands are so dry. I have a pimple coming in under my right nostril. My nose keeps running blood. My back is stiff. I'm fairly cold. I can not connect to the internet for a somewhat unknown reason. I'm incredibly hungry.
This morning, for breakfast, I had (on the road) a Naked Mango drink (four lovely dollars). For lunch I had a quarter bag of Kettle lightly salted chips. For a snack, I had another Naked Mango drink and half a bag of dried apricots (eight lovely dollars). For dinner, I had the another quarter bag of the Kettle chips (which was the last of them since I started out with a half bag) and a sip of orange juice. Since I've arrived at my Uncle's house I've had two bites of an orange and a cup of Chamomile tea.
What I'd give for three clean organic apples and some raw white cheddar.
The good news?
I'm alive. The car and all of my luggage is in one piece, and my father and his luggage is all fine as well. We have not yet recalled anything we've forgotten. We only lost an hour today due to being lost. We only left the house an hour later than planned.
We only lost an hour when the cop pulled us over for speeding...
Okay, wait, that's back to bad news. That's a one-hundred-and-sixty-five dollar ticket. My heart ached when I saw that amount. Three weeks groceries. Four days in a decent hotel. A nice digital camera. You name it; but now it's nothing - nothing at all. And worse than that is that the registration on the car isn't current (or something). There has been some confusion due to a change in insurance (or something) that I don't quite understand. What I do understand is that it has to be resolved (via proof of insurance and registration) within ten days, or a warrant is put out for our arrest. Fabulous.
If no proof is provided within the ten days then I believe what has to be done is that someone has to go in to court to fight it, and if they fail to fight it then it's a fine of one-hundred to five-hundred dollars. That simply cannot come to pass. There is no way that could be afforded.
*sigh* I saw the two crows in the tree, landing side by side. I held the two tickets in my hands. It's an unfortunate example of the power of symbolism and the belief in signs.
Despite all that, I still managed to spend much of the day thinking about Paladin. Just calling his smile into my memory... Hearing in my mind's ear the sound of his laughter. I miss being there with him so much... It was so perfect... Three perfect weeks. I wouldn't change a thing that happened. I wouldn't even change my slip-up... The punishment taught me much of myself and of him, and I like knowing what I learned.
I'm so tired now. I should go to bed, it's nearly two in the morning. I wonder if I can sleep with my aunt-in-law and my father debating in the next room as they are... As tired as I am, I probably could. I could attempt to read a chapter of The Phoenix Guard first...
I wish I could connect to the internet. I want to contact Paladin so bad. I used my Uncle's laptop to log into Lords Online and do a few things with my empire. I also sent Paladin a couple of messages via skype, but he wasn't online. I don't know if he's gone to bed or what - he's usually connected to skype all night long.
I do have my vibrator... I even have my external harddrive... I could get off to some hentai about now... Think I'm too tired for that though... Need to find some chapstick... And call it a night.
Ah! Something I should have thought of - bandaids. Also, some deodorant wouldn't have been a bad idea either.
Paladin... Paladin... Paladin...
dad,
