As hinted in my last post, I've been working on defining my style. The fashion and style blog You Look Fab, by Angie, has been amazing in this process

Wow, you're right! I remember reading your thoughts, but I guess I didn't "get" it. Possibly because I don't really ever see you in regular clothes. :p But wait, I think maybe you DID influence me, talking about dressing "more age-appropriately" not because you have to, but because it feels right to you

Wow, thanks for this post! I'd been itching to change and occasionally buying new stuff but wasn't able to articulate it. Will give it some thought per your approach. Thank yoooou! !! ()-
Ooh, how exciting! I know that some people need a lot more thinking through than others; I like the structure, so this was super helpful for me. Adjectives is the hardest part, but the post I linked to (and others - explore tags on the blog) are helpful by seeing what others think. :D
Have fun!!! I'd LOVE to see what you come up with.... *hint hint* ;)
Downsizing in the process of moving has gotten me to think more about my wardrobe. I've started creating a capsule wardrobe - not quite as minimalistic as some, but definitely more manageable than the crowded closet I've had. Thanks for these ideas - I will peruse the links for more help in making my choices.
I find your posts about clothing - whether creating and sewing costumes, or choosing and showing your daily wardrobe - inspirational!

That sounds like a really good approach for you! There is a lot of good advice on that site; the whole "individual style" category has some great stuff. I hope you have a lot of fun experimenting and figuring it out!
I used to hate the capsule wardrobe thing. Working through this made me realize *why*: the factors of lifestyle and climate, plus my personal love of variety. All of those make a limited capsule impractical and unhappy for me. But now I also understand better how it's such a great idea for lots of others. :D
Very cool post! It's so important to keep "going" style-wise. Every 5 or 10 years I find I've changed a lot, and with it my tastes have changed. It's important to understand how that translates to wardrobe. What I needed 10 years ago is totally different to what I need now.
You are so right! It's been not easy for me to recognize that. I shop a lot (one of my weaknesses) so I think my wardrobe always has evolved slowly. This is the first time I've really tried to do it thoughtfully. And I'm really going to try to remember all this! Change is good and natural.
