In which I can never keep my composure...
Well, I'm sick today which means no classes... consequently I ACTUALLY HAVE SOME FREE TIME. So I'm going to tell everyone about my AMAZING Yo Gabba Gabba Live adventures! My bestie, Rachel, and I went for the second year in a row and I must say, it was JUST AS AWESOME IF NOT MORE.
First of all, we went dressed as girl Aquabats in our rad home-made costumes (our shirts were a little big but whatev. :P)! In case you don't know the lead singer created the show, voices one of the characters and they've performed on the show a few times as well. We were noticed by EVERYBODY and it's totally not because we were 3 feet taller than every other dancing kid and were in the front row. Not at all. But we got so many compliments on our outfits.
Throughout the ENTIRE show we were favored by the characters and DJ Lance talked directly to us at least 4 times. It was hilarious.
But of course the MOST fun was the backstage party. First, we went to Plex (MY ABSOLUTE LOVE) because he is the bomb. He saw my hat and got SO EXCITED and he pointed to Rachel's belt and to himself over and over again, I assume because he's voiced by the lead singer. It was adorable.
Next was Muno, who ALWAYS acts like the biggest creep around us. XD First he kind of swiped our belt buckles in a "meh" way and blew raspberries... wtf does that even mean? Then we got pictures (he didn't grope Rachel this time) and as we were walking away he FOLLOWED us in the creepiest fashion but all he wanted was to see the canvas bag I was carrying that I painted the characters on. He found his face and was pleased. He gave me a thumbs up! :)
Next we went to Foofa (WHO IS ANOTHER LOVE OF MINE) and we hugged and blew kisses and she was JUST SO CUTE.
Then I HAD to see Plex again. I JUST LOVE HIM SO MUCH. I got back in line and he was SO HAPPY to see me again, he did an awesome gangster pose.
AND THEN!!! He proposed! <33333
I said yes of course. (I bet all the 3 year old girls were totally jelly)
Then on to Toodee who was her usual self... I'm not the biggest fan, but she's still cute.
Then Brobee who just showered us in little kisses when we hugged him! He made the cutest little sounds!
THEN I REMEMBERED! I had a drawing of Muno with me! I HAD to show it to him! I did and he LOVED IT OMG. He acted out (they can't really talk much) a writing motion and I replied in what was probably a MUCH more frantic fashion than necessary with what I think was something like "YES SHARPIE HOLD ON RACHEL BAG POCKET SHARPIE!" I handed him the sharpie and he autographed it! Then he ran over to DJ Lance to show him and he was like "THAT is AWESOME!" I was embarrassed but it was great. ^_^ I need to frame it now! He gave us more hugs and we left to go get a snack and hear DJ Lance read a story.
Then we turned around and I LITERALLY ran into Muno who was apparently stalking us at that point. He froze up really stiff and gave us a little, nervous wave and slooooowly creeped away backwards. I kind of hated it. XDDDDD He's hilarious.
Then we waited forever to get a picture with DJ Lance but he got pictures with everyone else before us so that we could talk to him alone when all the little kids left. HE IS SO NICE. He remembered us from last year and loved my bag, our costumes and the Muno drawing. We talked about our favorite characters and he asked us where we lived and why we didn't go to the Cleveland show again (I didn't even know there was one and we drove ALL the way to Pittsburgh from Columbus, wth!?). Anyway after some pics and more talking and autographs (and an incident where I frightened him a little but I'll leave that embarrassing part out) his sister/manager rushed him out like she always does. TT-TT but he gave us more hugs and we left satisfied over all.
We didn't kiss him or walk with him to his bus like last time but it was still the bomb.
This isn't even HALF of the awesome stuff that happened but this post is already too long. Anyone who reads this, I love you forever! :'D
