Behind my eyes: Africa

Nov 21, 2009 01:15

I haven't been up this late in a long time. Haha! It's only 1:10 am... crazy. I use to be up this late a lot of nights per week.

I went to the all Michigan UCO prayer meeting tonight. It was sooo good to see all my beloved friends from Grand Rapids (and other places, but especially GR). I finally talked to Foos after a long lapse (for various reasons). But it wasn't a nice conversation environment for any of the people I spoke with. ...yet, It was good.

During the prayer time, my dear Clarissa put her hand on my head and prayed for me for a bit.

And there were visions of Africa. Many many visions of Africa. As people clapped there hands I saw and heard rain, then it lifted and there was a beautiful field of RED earth. Then I was dancing over the map, specifically on Sub Saharan Africa. Then I was in a slum, weeping... And I was standing in the kitchen door of the Emmuas center... and I heard the drum for tea. And I was in the church again, moving, listening, feet on Africa.

So much Africa tonight.

My heart is full.
