Seeing and observing
I have grown really fond of my two tenants, in spite of their lack of tidiness, especially that of Mr. Holmes - though at one very special point I felt it was the best for everyone involved to say something at last.
“It hardly makes sense to create additional workload where it is not necessary. Therefore, gentlemen, as long as you two share one bed, could you please refrain from rumpling the other one artificially every morning?”
They stared at me, exchanged a look, aghast… then relieved. And we smiled in agreement. It had been about time to settle this, anyway.
