Is this really the holidays?
I can't believe it!
So far this week, on Monday I went to school to do the stock-take. Lots of storybooks for next year (YAY) , monitoring the books (GROAN). My boss brought her underlings to help and thank goodness they were there. They were really good at helping me check the story books available.
On Tuesday, it was a meeting at MOE to discuss the findings from the ACER project. I was involved in the marking in May and that drained me. I was sick for the longest time because we were confined to a room and 30 people marked 15000 + writing scripts. It took us every Thursday and Saturday from May to July to finish marking these papers. I think the findings were interesting and sort of confirmed what we knew about our literacy and numeracy skills but now we have the data to consolidate it.
Wednesday was back to school and continuing with the books and today, another meeting at MOE about the Writing test findings.
I am glad to start my leave on Saturday but realise I have to go back to school because I need my appraisals for the last three years when I apply LDP.
I need my holiday now and I definitely feel the need to reward myself because I think next year will be even busier.
Haha.. I want to reward myself with this!
