Wow not updated this for months, been too busy! Went to London Film and Comic Con for the first time at the beginning of July, stayed at Barry's and we got the train, was utterly baking, i'm so glad we didn't have to queue for tickets cause the sunburn would have been awful, only got a couple of autos but one of them was Elijah Woods, woooo! We found a big Frodo picture at one of the dealers stalls for £10 which was a bargin as it's huge and already mounted so we got that signed to the both of us (our first joint signed photo heehee) had a look round the dealers stalls and bought sooo much stuff, best dealers stalls i've ever been round, got Serenity on UMD just cause i can lol got a Monsters inc photo and a Finding Nemo one, got some N64 and playstation games for £3 each, got a couple of T-shirts, got some sweets from the American sweets stall almond Snikers and peanut butter Twix (yuck too sickly) and a box of Nerds i love those things! After that we went to Trafalgar square to meet Jo and Gem and a few other people at gay pride and saw Sir Ian Mckellen on stage which was cool, granted he was just a dot on the stage but still cool, then we were going to go to a pub for a bit but we got to the tube (and some people from the group got on) and it was so stupidly busy, the trains turning up were already packed and there were just too many people on the platforms trying to get on, plus it was so hot i felt like i was going to pass out, that we just gave up because it was about half an hour before we had to get the train home anyway. So we went to the other platform and got the train back to paddington (took a photo of the Paddington bear shop)
The day after that we got the train to Bristol station and the bus to the airport to get a plane to inverness, spent a few day there like we did last time, it's such a beautiful place, then got the train to Kyle of Lochalsh (most beautiful train journey i've ever been on) it was a totally different journey to last time we did it because it was covered in snow last time. Mum and Dad were really sneaky and got the train half way from Kyle to meet our train so half way there they walked into our carrage lol! Spent a couple of weeks on Skye walking and horse riding, that place is just so beutiful. Dad drove us home and the next day we drove to Barry's so mum and dad could collect Willow (his cat) he had to be taken to the vets in the morning and sedated because he hates cars so much so he was all woozey on the way back bless. I went back with them and left Barry to pack, Willow settled in quite fast, he was nervous but nosey and now he totally owns mum and dad, the other day dad was having breakfast in the dining room and Willow asked to be fed so dad went in the kitchen and when he came back his last piece of bacon was on the floor being eaten and the Wilbo got back on the table and licked the plate! he gets on find with vesty but hated Frosty and Fregus so we have to try and keep them away, Frosty is scarily persistant in trying to get in, it's going to be fun when they get a cat flap. The next week Barry came up with all his stuff in a van (driven by his dad and his sisters boyfriend) and we moved into our flat in Heaton Moor, it's such a cool flat i love it, spent the first few weeks just sitting round watching tv and trying to decide where stuff should go.
I'm back at uni now, started last week, liking all my modules so far which is a huge improvement on last year which i hated. Still working at B&Q which i love, hopefully cutting my hours down soon though cause 20 hours is too much to do with uni, just got my discount card (20% off woooo!) and celebrated by buying the last two 5 draw solid pine chest of draws in the clearance sale (normal price £102 each i got them for £54) and two 3 draw bedside cabinets on the same style, whole lot came to £140! Barry's made one of the little ones and dad's coming round this evening to help make the rest. We're looking into getting a sofa next, found a perfect 2 seater online for £199, we've not got a huge amount of space for a sofa and this will fit perfectly yey!
The Saturday after next i'm going to Scotland and spending 3 days riding a Clydesdale, the horses that i rode on Skye are being moved to the Lake District and Annie being Annie decided to ride them all the way there so people can pay to ride for either 3 or 4 days somewhere between the Isle of Skye and the Lake District, such a cool idea, definitly a one off so i couldn't not be a part of it, wonder what uni will say when i tell them i'm missing 3 lectures to ride a clydesdale... actually one of the lectures i'm missing is Digital multi media where we're making websites and i'm doing one on the Great Clydesdale Migration
http://www.thegreatclydesdalemigration.com/ so they can't tell me off for missing the lecture if i'll be getting pictures and information for my project :D
We went to Galactica 2 a few months ago in Northhamptonshire which was ok (such a random place for a convention), and Serenity3 the other weekend which was soooo fun except Barry felt icky on the Saturday and spent most of the day in bed which made me worry but i got to look after him as they didn't need me stewarding at the time so that was ok cause i could keep an eye on him n make sure he was ok. Couldn't go to C10 cause of work and money which sucks cause i went to 8 and 9 and loved them, luckily Jo went so she got the auto's we wanted, will definitly try and go to the next one. Definitly going to GMex2 cause it's like 3 local stops on the train away from where we live yey so convenient, and soon to be booking for S4 (ooooh Scottish con) and Decalology yey Blackpool!
Anthoo that's all i can think of at the mo, don't have the internet at the flat (not that i miss it the only thing i used it for was talking to Barry and now i have him 24/7 :D :D :D ) so i'm not on here often (at uni at the mo)
Ciao for now
Cate.
P.S Sarah if you read this what's Sandika's email address these days, i emailed him the other day and it just bounced back :-( will have to phone him.
