praise be to God

Ok, these past 2 weeks have been filled with lots of trials in my life. without a doubt the hardest things ive ever had to go through. but through it all my life and my faith has been renewed. even though nick isnt here he is still affecting me and others in awesome ways.

nick was always an amazing guy, he got into his share of trouble, but his heart was always full of good intentions and care for those he loved. for a reason i still dont and probably wont ever understand, God needed him last friday and he died in a car accident.

i was lost in all the shock and devastation. i felt like i had no where to turn and no one to blame or question but God. its easy in times like these to question God. where was he at that moment? how could he let such a perfect person life end? why so young? well some of those questions i wont ever know the answer to but some of them i know now. God was right next to nick and sean and julian at that moment, holding all of them in his hands. julian survived that crash and im so happy that he is still here with me. (and all of us). i didnt know sean but i knew nick very well. hes the best kind of friend you could ever ask for. i was blessed to have him in my life and so was everyone else that knew him. i found something out on monday that didnt sink in until today.

nick wasnt religious, but on saturday the 9th for (at the time) no apparent reason, two of nick's best friends (who are christian and brought him to church) asked him what does he think will happen when he died. one thing led to another and on that day nick accepted christ into his heart for the first time in his life and he was saved. all this just 6 days before he died. (to those who dont know, in christian religion this is the only way to eternal life with God in heaven, otherwise your spirit has to wait in purgatory until jesus returns after the armagedon) like i said before, its easy to question God right now, but now i see that even though i may want nick to be here still, i know his death wasnt just a random accident.

God DOES have a plan, He IS in control. and blessed be the name of the lord for bringing his son nick to him just the way he deserved. coming to heaven and being greeted by Jesus with open arms. thats alone makes everything ok. it is what pulls me through and will continue to. i know nick is in heaven with the lord smiling down bc i know he is seeing now what an impact he had on all his friends and family, and now what an impact he will be making on all these ppl he never met. nick's testimony is one full of so much hope and inspiration and i will continue to share it for the rest of my life. it has cemented my faith and i know it will only bring more and more people to the lord.
