Hot demand for U2 tickets -
Tickets for U2's concert in Auckland in March went on sale today, and sold out (38,000 seats) within 90 minutes!
My sister was trying to get tickets online as soon as they were available but was unsuccessful. Apparently the demand caused websites and phone lines to jam.
A second concert has been confirmed with tickets for that on sale next Monday. So we'll have to try our luck then ....
My sister was visiting yesterday and asked if I'd like to go to the concert with her and assorted friends.
I said yes, 'cos it's a once in a lifetime experience. But I've never been to a big rock concert like that and I'm rather intimidated by the thought of all the people and noise.
The only other 'big' concert I've been to was Neil Diamond (!) which was a number of years ago.
It was wonderful, but my friend and I would have been some of the youngest in the audience.
So yeah ... U2 would be awesome and exciting and scary. And probably something I need to do before my next birthday.
We shall see if we can get tickets next week then .....
