Conversation that happened yesterday:
D = It was the most EPIC thing I've ever seen. (talking about something-or-other from One Piece)
Me = Psssshaw! It's SO not as epic as two Gundams blowing things up!
D = ...what's a gundam?
Me = *speechless and realizing, once again, that I am old*
So I lent him my Gundam Wing season one box set.
Conversation that happened today:
Me = *taking a sip of my tea in the lunch room*
D = *rushes in* This series is fucking AWESOME!
Me = *smirking in joy at corrupting another young soul to the dark side and taking another sip of tea*
D = *babble babble-I wasn't paying attention-something something* Are Quatre and Trowa gay?
Me = *chokes on tea* *gasps for air* WHAT?!
D = Are they gay? Because that would be cool, they'd be like the Spartans only in giant fighting suits!
Me = *speechless... again* ...You... you were my little brother in a past life weren't you?
D = ...huh?
This lead to an awesomely long conversation about the Gundam Wing fandom and how awesome it is. Talking about all that fun stuff made me feel squishy and happy. Also D is straight and, despite being younger than me (by five years), has a wife and 10 month old daughter. This was the best conversation I have had in an extremely long time. It was fantastic! ♥
