It's not like I want to sell any organs...

Jasmine:

I am a naturally curious person. I like knowing things. I like my questions to be answered. So when someone doesn't know how to answer my innocent, curious inquiry... or doesn't know the answer at all... then shut the hell up!!! Why are you still talking?! And why are YOU getting mad that YOU don't know!? I just want an answer! I am not claiming to know anything... that's why I am ASKING. So don't get mad at me if your answer isn't sufficient and doesn't really answer my question. Okay?

The question of the day... why are you not allowed to give or take money for an organ?

I never really thought about it. But Grey's Anatomy sparked my interest. I asked my roommate, why are you not allowed to get paid to give your kidney to someone? And she said it was unethical. I then asked why? And she said because being able to give someone money for their kidney is coercion. Um... no, it's not really. You're just offering money. Even if they desperately needed the money... it's still not coercion. It's all free will here people. So why are you not allowed to give or take money for a kidney? So then she started getting all upset because I didn't get it. No, you don't get it! It's not coercion! So why are you not allowed to do it!!! I just want to freakin know!!! And since you obviously don't know why you can't do it, then shut the hell up I will ask somebody else!! And she somehow accused me of saying it was ok to kill a baby because they can't speak?! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT???? I did not say that at all!! I said, following your boyfriend's logic, he is saying that. Which obviously is not true. So just because you don't know the answer... and you're mad because maybe you feel like you always have the answers... which you don't... don't get freakin mad at ME!

So even though she went to look on the internet and find out why you're not allowed to... can someone please explain to me, in very clear terms, why you are not allowed to give or take money for an organ? K, thanks.

On another note, remember how I was talking about how my roommate didn't want to tell anyone she is going to the gym because she's "just like that"? Well she ended up telling one of her other friends and thinks its okay. Which is fine with her. But it just proves to me even more that she's not "just like that"... she was just feeling embarassed and guilty for spending so much on her personal training sessions. And she's obviously had a few weeks to rationalize it out, so she's feeling less embarassed and guilty.

Okay, done. Please answer previous question if you have some insight. I am too lazy to do the research.
