i just wanted to post here about a new cool author that i really enjoy. my friend john (he is the lead tutor at the literacy center where i used to tutor [for a short time]) lent me a book, A Relative Stranger by Charles Baxter. I read that and enjoyed it immensely, and now I'm reading a novel by Baxter, The Feast of Love. it's really cool, and I like it a lot.
i bought cool christmas presents for my friends, i hope they like them!
winter break forever!
i worked today and dealt with everyone's holiday stress and i saw people from work and we all complained about what a hassle retail can be during holidays. even though it is silly and repetitive, i enjoy sharing something like that with them.
when i was younger i really liked the holidays, but now i'm just more annoyed with the feeling of the season. i guess it's mostly how shallow it can be sometimes. when i was at work today, this guy bought a nintendo d.s. and he seemed so happy, and he said "This really makes my Christmas." i'm glad it did, but i wish that people would stop buying stuff all the goddamn time and pinning their happiness on stupid ass shit. to be fair, i really love my laptop and bike, so i'm just as bad. dang.
han bun neh ga neh ching gu ha te sarang hen da gu mal heh ah deh yo. that is my first goal.
