I have now seen this movie four times.
Back in the day I saw Titanic 19 times on the Big Screen because it had this... scale of awe. It was immersible, it was historical and it was mind-blowing in scale.
Avatar does that as well. Not only is it epic in scale, you can relate to it. The technology is not overwhelming, the characters aren't over-the-top and the setting actually works.
Last thought before I close this off, You may remember from Return Of The Jedi how the Ewoks destroyed the Empire... Fuck that shit. The Na'vi destroyed the UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS.
