Remember what I talked about last post? You know, going to watch my friends' band rehearse on Saturday. Well, Saturday was cancelled and it was changed to Monday. Everything was going fine, albeit some time changes. I wake up Monday morning and check my MySpace. (As much as I despise MySpace, I find myself with a Friend Request every few hours, as our school runs on a giant MySpace network.) I received a comment from said friend stating that the tme had been changed once again. My parents were not happy with this. I called him on his cell to re-confirm this, when I get the "No, you're not going." from my parents.

Well, to make a long story short, what occurred were lectures, phone calls, and mayhem. My parents still offered me to go, but it felt like some sort of booby trap, so I didn't. I feel rather bad for my friend, but I should stop feeling bad so much.

But you know I don't have very many things to do if finishing my homework is a way for me to actually relieve stress.

Onward to anime fundom!:
1) In my boredom, I downloaded scanlations for Ludwig Kakumei, by the same mangaka of Angel Sanctuary and Godchild fame -- or infamy, depends on you view. I haven't read nor watched Angel Sanctuary myself, but I heard it was a terrible incestful story that I should avoid like the plague. I've heard of Godchild, which isn't bad, but is full of historical inconcistencies, which is a "no" in my book. But I do like her art. And fairytales sure are fun.

For those who are morally uptight, avoid this like you would an episode of Jerry Springer. When Snow White's a slut that sleeps with her father and the main character is a necrophiliac, you're either going to love it or hate it. I find myself laughing at it in all the ways I probably shouldn't. It's hilarious, though. You'd be laughing, too, I bet. The only relatively sane character is poor Wilhelm, Prince Ludwig's assistant. (Who's so poor I felt bad enough to make him into an icon.)

2) I was thinking about re-picking up Tsubasa, but after learning that Fai turns into a vampire, I don't think so. Maybe it's because I'm already taking in excessive amounts of Hellsing and Blood+, so seeing yet another vampire is just driving me up the wall. I didn't think CLAMP would pull something so cliche. He could've been...a werewolf...or something. It's like CLAMP went "There's about one million Fai fangirls, but that's not enough! Hurry! Let's pull every smex cliche we can think of! He loses his eye! Awesome, uh-huh! Vampires, oh yeah, see how those girls are all over Hagi? Hopefully this'll have the same effect!".

Seriously, WTF CLAMP? So much for originality. And then they had to push up the "Fai is totally hot for Kuro" factor by making it necessary for him to feed off of his blood.

And what kind of a ninja is Kurogane, anyway? I can clearly see him. He doesn't even try to conceal himself. This isn't Naruto for Christ's sake.

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Tsubasa, but let's be realistic. It's a generic shounen series wrapped up in CLAMPiness.
