Operation Christmas Tree's first casualty
So we put up the tree yesterday, just getting it in the stand, then we went to go see "Narnia" (loved it btw, screw the haters who say it's dull. Not every film can have explosions every five minutes). When we got back the tree had tilted like a certain tower in a certain Italian town, so we had to unscrew the pegs, re-seat it, and pin it in again. This time, it worked! But by then L had to go meet some friends so we tabled the decorating till today.
This morning we went in and put on the MST3K movie "Santa Claus" (the Mexican kid film. Santa vs. The Devil. Yeah, really. It's awesome) and we decorated. All well and good. Then I went to work.
I wasn't there ten minutes before my back started screaming at me. I think I lasted 2 hours before I asked to be sent home. They were cool about it. So I'm sitting here with enough Tiger Balm to keep my back warm for a week. Then I'm going to go find some sleep, hopefully.
Seriously, who throws their back out putting up ornaments? *weak* *old* *pout*
