Well as you can read from the title....
after reading the links from blackboard I have decided to quickly reflect on what I have just read :)
Death of
a salesman
By Arthur Miller.
Emotions provoked from reading the background information:
Sad and a sense of sympathy towards Willie, because he loves his son so much he gave his life for him.
This reminded me of something written in the bible. That God “gave his one and only son to die for us, so that we could be forgiven".
But for Willie he killed himself for his son, so that his son could get some money from his life insurance to start a company. What kind of father would do such a thing, unless he really loved his son?
Therefore this makes me wonder: Did Willie really fail as a father?
Although the play goes back into Willie's past failure e.g. cheating on his wife, but in the end does this matter?
We as humans all try our hardest to become who we are.
So, did Willie fulfill his life long goal, to become successful in life?
Who knows, only God knows.......
