I've made it to the East Village.
Where the weather is a lovely -1!
Not too much has happened since I landed. Ate sushi and sashimi. Wandered around. Ate some haagen-daaz and ben&jerry's ice creams ('cause Max Brenner was packed). All in all, am yet to do anything quintessential NY-ish, holiday-ish or out of the ordinary.
The flights went on and on, the monotony only broken up by a potential drama in needing to get from Terminal 6 of LAX to Terminal 7 - via Immigration, Customs and the baggage re-check - in less than 90 mins. As it turned out, I had about 30mins to spare.
OK, the hours of being awake are taking they're toll. I'll come back when I'm rested and have the slight chance of coming up with something vaguely interesting to read.
