CHARACTER INFO
CHARACTER NAME: Tsukishiro Yukito/Yue
SERIES: Cardcaptor Sakura
RESERVED: Yes (thought it ran out by the time I actually
finished this orz)
WISHLIST: No
PERSONALITY:

Outgoing and cheerful, Yukito is the poster boy for the friendly boy
next door: he always has a kind smile on his face and a nice word for
others. His good nature makes it nearly impossible to offend him, and
he takes both rudeness and bluntness in stride. Even though he's
talented in everything he does, he's very demure about his abilities,
thinking they aren't really a big deal. That doesn't stop him from
helping out if it's asked of him, as he likes to lend a hand and do
what he can for others.

He shows great concern for other people, regardless of how long he's
known them. If someone is injured, upset, or hurt, he'll do his best
to help them or get them to the help they need. To him, it isn't a
burden at all, but another facet of his kind nature. He'll patiently
listen to a friend and knows not to push, letting people speak on
their own terms. He might prompt them a little, perhaps by mentioning
something related to the topic that's bothering them in order to open
up the conversation, but if the person doesn't take up the silent
invitation, he'll back off and act normally.

Despite his intelligence and his empathy, he can be somewhat
cheerfully clueless. He might walk into a tense moment and ask what
everyone is up to as if nothing's wrong, or fail to find something
strange about a boy playing the role of a princess in a school play.
Sometimes he plays up this part of himself to hide his own troubles,
not wanting to bother his friends or bring them down with his worries.

Yue, on the other hand, seems to be the polar opposite. Calm and
collected, he's much like a cat; if he wants to grace you with his
presence, it'll be only on his terms. He doesn't like to be bothered
and almost always is the one initiating meetings with other people,
usually preferring to let Yukito deal with the world for him. Nearly
impossible to read, he comes off as very distant and cold, introverted
without being shy. When he speaks, it's calmly and to the point, as he
doesn't like having his time wasted.

He believes very strongly in his opinions and isn't easily swayed. He
once thought that Clow would be the only master he'd ever had, and it
took a long, tiring battle and the strong heart of a little girl to
change his mind. His loyalty is very fierce and absolute. Once he's
promised it to someone, they have it without question for the rest of
his life.

Though he doesn't really see it, he and Yukito share a lot of traits.
Like Yukito, he cares very strongly for the people close to him, and
will offer encouragement or advice if it's needed, though he's a
little more awkward at it than Yukito is. He doesn't like to bother
other people with his problems, more out of pride and a need for
privacy, and for all his outer appearance would suggest otherwise,
he's surprisingly emotionally vulnerable.

TIMELINE: End of the manga, but before the timeskip.

BACKGROUND:

Long ago there lived the most powerful sorcerer known, Clow Reed. He
combined Eastern and Western magic into his own unique style,
fashioning his power into a set of powerful cards called Clow Cards.
In conjecture, he created two guardians: Kerberos, harnessing the
power the Sun, and Yue, harnessing the power of the Moon. Together
they lived as a family unit until the ever capricious Clow decided,
quite cheerful, that it was his time to die. He prepared the cards for
their new future mistress, the identity of whom he'd seen in a vision,
promising Kerberos and Yue that one day they'd have another master to
love. Yue, however, refused to accept it; for him there was and only
would be Clow. Clow understood his feelings and tasked Yue with the
title of Judge, the one who would test the new mistress of the cards
and see for himself if she was worthy of them. And because Yue was too
partial, he tasked Kerberos with the job of finding a next candidate.
Clow sealed them all together in a book that would remain untouched
until a suitable person appeared.

That person was Kinomoto Sakura, a cheerful 4th grader. When she found
the book in her father's library, it unsealed the guardians and the
cards, allowing both to escape. While Kerberos stayed with Sakura to
help her collect the Clow Cards, Yue hid inside the false form of
Tsukishiro Yukito until it was time to pass judgment.

Yukito, possessing fake memories and a personality of his own, was
completely unaware of what he really was or any actions Yue took. As
far as he was concerned, he was a normal teenager who'd been living
with his grandparents ever since the death of his parents when he was
younger. During his first year of high school, he transferred into the
same class as Sakura's brother, Touya, and the two became fast
friends. Because of Yue's presence in his body, many people became
attracted to Yukito; Clow had intentionally based his personality on
something that would be appealing to Sakura, so it was no surprise
when she developed a crush on him. Her rival for the cards, Li
Syaoran, also developed a crush, though it was only because he was
attracted to the Moon element that his own magic was also based on.
However, Touya had been able to look past that and befriend Yukito on
his own merits.

The moment Sakura capture all of the Clow Cards, Yue took over to
initiate the Final Judgment; in order to prove her worth, Sakura had
to defeat him. But because of her feelings for his host body, Yukito,
as well as her own kind nature, she was unable to harm him. Instead,
she trapped him within a ball of wind and told him that she didn't
want to be his master, but his friend. Her method of nonviolence and
compassion were enough to convince Yue that she would do as the new
Mistress of the Clow Cards and he gave her his approval and
allegiance. Yukito, of course, remained oblivious to these events and
carried on as normal.

Part of Sakura's new duties was to change to Clow Cards into Sakura
Cards, so that they drew from her power, the power of the Stars,
instead of Clow's. The new transfer student in her class, Eriol,
secretly helped this process by creating situations where Sakura would
need to change the cards in order to use them. The strain was great on
her, and on her two Guardians; while Kerberos had the power of the sun
to rejuvenate him, Yue was not so lucky. Without a proper supply of
energy, he would surely fade away, along with Yukito. They decided to
hide this from Sakura, knowing there was nothing she could do and that
it would only worry her.

Unaware of what had happened, Yukito found himself eating more than
usual in a vain attempt to replenish his and Yue’s energy, often
falling asleep or outright fainting from tiredness. This worried
Touya, who kept trying to tell him something important, but the pair
were constantly interrupted by a new transfer student in their class,
Akizuki Nakuru. After expressing a distinct interest in Touya, she
confronted Yukito and told him not to interfere, making him unsure of
where he stood with Touya, the person most important to him.

Yue wasn't idle during this time. Syaoran had become unsure about his
feelings; he still felt the pull towards Yukito, but he'd also been
thinking about more about Sakura. Sensing the boy was Clow's
descendent, Yue appeared and offered him advice, telling Syaoran to
look into his heart for who he really cared about. Syaoran discovered
that it was Sakura that he loved. Returning to his human form, the
suddenly confused Yukito offered Syaoran encouragement, ending the
false crush. And by chance, Yukito happened to run into Eriol, and Yue
took control because he sensed Clow's presence coming from him. Before
he could get a proper answer, Eriol used his magic to force him to
sleep and took away Yue's memories of the encounter, as Eriol wasn't
ready to be exposed yet.

Yukito’s low energy progressed to the point where his body began to
fade, and he would have disappeared had Touya not confronted him. He
made Yukito realize and admit to the fact that he wasn't human,
allowing Yukito to become aware of Yue's presence and for Yue to
appear. Once this was done, Touya was able to transfer his own magic
to the pair in order for them to keep surviving, making Yue promise to
protect Sakura and Yue (and Yukito by extension) before passing out.
Sakura overheard the exchange and blamed herself for being too weak
and unable to provide Yue with enough power in the first place. Yue,
in turn, told her it was alright and comforted her as both a guardian
and someone who cared for her.

Afterwards, Yukito felt unsure about his own existence and memories,
but Touya's reassurance that everything they experienced together was
real kept his spirits up. Sakura confessed her feelings to him during
a school fare, but Yukito gently let her down; he explained that he
already had someone he loved, and Sakura knew immediately who he was
referring to. She bounced back quickly and started treating Yukito
more like another big brother instead of a love interest.

With all but two of the Clow Cards changed to Sakura Cards, Eriol
decided to make his final move and created a darkness that put
everyone without magical abilities to sleep, revealing himself as the
reincarnation of Clow Reed and the one behind the strange events that
had been happening. Sakura confronted him with her two guardians,
Kerberos and Yue, and Eriol introduced two new ones of his own; Ruby
Moon, the true identity of Nakuru, and Spinel Sun. Sakura realized the
only way to stop the darkness was to convert the last two cards, and
both Kerberos and Yue lent her their powers so that she was able to
successfully complete the task. With all the cards changed, Eriol
explained his true intentions to them: that he was a friend who'd just
been looking out for their best interests and had been doing
everything in order to help Sakura change the cards. He invited them
back to his home to answer any questions they might have.

Yue refused to join the group and sulked out in Eriol's garden before
the boy sought him out. He demanded to know why Clow hadn't told him
that he would be reborn; if Yue had known, he would have never stopped
searching for him, which was precisely the reason why it had been kept
from him. Clow had wanted him to find, befriend, and accept Sakura, as
it was Clow's time to move on, and Eriol himself said that he no
longer considered himself to be Clow Reed. He’d originally planned for
Yukito and Sakura to fall in love, but couldn’t have predicted that
their hearts would end up in such different directions, though he
wasn’t unhappy by the change in events.

With closure given to the group, Eriol took his leave and returned to
England. Syaoran finally confessed his feelings to Sakura, and with
help from Yukito and (reluctantly) Touya, she was able to return his
feelings before he left for Hong Kong.

ABILITIES:

Other than being able to eat more in one sitting than most do in their
lifetime, Yukito seems like any normal human being. He's good at
pretty much everything he does, especially sports and archery, and is
rather athletic. Due to Yue, he emits an aura of magic related to
Yue's source of power, the moon, which may attract people with a
similar magical affiliation.

Yukito has no control over his 'true' form, Yue, and cannot transform
at will; he also doesn't recall anything that happens during his time
as Yue, though Yue is always conscious of what's happening when
they're Yukito. The only one who can force the change is Yue, himself.

In contrast to Yukito, Yue is a being of magic and has a range of
abilities. Based on the power of the moon, he's affected by the moon's
cycles, being at his strongest when it's full and at his weakest when
it's new. He is capable of flight and possesses a pair of large,
feathery white wings, though he doesn't need them to fly and can will
them away when necessary. An adapt magic user, he can erect magical
barriers, summon crystal-like shards that function as projectiles, and
use a bow and arrows made of energy. As his magic is also based in
darkness, wind, and water, he can exert control over these elements;
at the very least he is strong against attacks of that nature and at
the most he can outright nullify and control them. This, however,
makes him vulnerable against magic that is based on light, fire, and
earth. Not only is he good at magic, but he is also a skilled fighter,
with superhuman speed, stamina, agility and reflexes. He has strong
senses and can detect when and where magic is being used.

GAME INFO
EDENSPHERE NAME: Usagi/Moon
BIRTHDAY LOG: Yes
DREAM:

"Oi, snow rabbit, this way!" He catches the sight of a small,
golden animal flying up towards the sky before it veers into the sun.
He knows, somehow, not to worry, that the being will be fine and that
he’s free to follow the accented instructions along the path in front
of him. It's a straight, winding path through a city, a tall tower in
the distance the clear destination point.

He can see ruby eyes watching him from the shadows, endless pairs that
only grow in number as the sun begins to set and night comes, and he's
suddenly very scared. There's something very precious to him,
something he doesn't want to live without, and he's painfully aware
that he might lose it and there's little he can do about it.

He has to find it, see it again in case it might be the last time, so
he veers off the path and searches everywhere. But it's so dark and he
finds the darkness makes him feel sleepy and lethargic, too tired to
move. The stray paths of moonlight cast by the swollen moon in the sky
help keep him awake, enough that he's able to soldier on.

Just as he thinks he might be too late, the Penguin King appears. He
knows now that he must be close to finding it.

"Excuse me, your Majesty, but I'm looking for something. Do you know
where it is?" He asks cheerfully, once again hopeful. The Penguin King
rubs its chin with a thoughtful look, gruffly rumbling to itself.

"That depends, m'boy, on what it is you're looking for." And the
statement strikes him dumb, leaving him unable to answer, because
really, how could he when even he himself doesn’t even know what it
was? Even though it’s the most important thing to him, he couldn't put
a name to it. It's just a constant presence in his life, a longing he
knows he's always had and always followed. To describe something that
abstract was too hard and too personal, even if it was to the Penguin
King himself.

He wilts, tired from being on his feet for so long and unsure of where
to go next. Maybe he should sleep here for a while, rest his mind and
his body so he'd have more energy to think clearly...

The smell of peaches is overwhelming, so much that it makes his
stomach grumble and his heart tighten. Large, warm hands rest on his
shoulders, and he's happier than he's ever been in his entire life.
His journey is over.

"Don't worry, I won't let you disappear."

---

Perched high in the sky with the moon as his glowing white mantle, he
watches the boy's dream without being noticed once. It's a little
annoying, but somewhat familiar. A common occurrence. It's like having
an out of body experience, because while he knows that this body is
his, the boy's body is his, as well.

It's completely convoluted while making perfect sense, a pattern that
vexes him and makes him wistful and stings at the cracks in his heart
all at the same time. But the cracks have gotten smaller, the holes
slowly being filled in with soft petals of a distinct kind, so he
can't bring himself to hate the person that caused them in the first
place.

He's still not happy about it, though.

JOURNAL SAMPLE:

So everyone can see what I'm writing right now? That's so cool! It's
nice to meet you all. Though it's not really my name, for now I'm
Usagi. Let's get along.

I don't really remember the beginning that much, but the whole
birthing process was kind of fun. I've never been in a giant egg
before. My greeter was so nice, too, even though the goo caused that
big mess; I guess they're probably used to it, but still, it seemed
only right to stay back and help clean up. We had a really nice
conversation about sausages, and he told me all about how size affects
the taste. I never knew that.

Oh, I almost forgot! Would anyone mind sharing their favorite places to eat?

ASPIRATIONS: I just want to play at Edensphere and see the game
through to the end! I've missed everyone~ With Yukito, I'm looking for
adorable cute moments, more slice of life then anything, but I'm also
interested in exploring the relationship between Yukito and Yue and
how they'd come to terms with it in this setting. Also, getting Yue a
little more socialized would be nice.
