Personality:
Rory is a kind and tolerant girl, who will do anything to help her friends. She is reasonably active and energetic for much of the time, but has grown up under the watchful eye of former Slytherins, which has resulted in her sometimes hiding her true personality around people she has only just met. This sometimes leads people to think that she is shy, which can often mean that people she has knows only slightly are sometimes surprised by her eagerness. She is quite involved in any studies she does and has a slight superiority complex, in that she sometimes refers to things as though people should already know about them, and makes often makes sarcastic references to others unintelligence (or lesser intelligence).
Strengths: Both magical and personality:
Magically, Rory excels at History of Magic, Transfiguration and Muggle studies. She excels in Transfiguration for the sole reason that she enjoys the premise of the subject, and therefore studies it hard in order to enjoy all the stages of development. She does well in History of Magic and Muggle Studies because she studies them easy. She often does this by comparing the different facts and events between the Magic world and the Muggle world.
Rory’s strengths in her personality are in her overall nice-ness. She generally doesn’t hold grudges against others, and holds onto the relationships she makes with such security that some may perceive it as a sort of desperation to avoid loneliness, and this may be partially true, as she revels in having friends who are so different to the people she knew growing up.

Magically, Rory is poor at Astronomy and dislikes Arithmancy. She isn’t so great at Astronomy because, although she likes gazing at the stars, she believes that the different planets are simply things that make up the universe and don’t mean anything. To her Astronomy is a subject made up by somebody who wanted to sound a lot smarter than they actually were. While Rory does alright in Arithmancy, she has always disliked thinking about numbers.
Rory’s weaknesses in her personality are that she has trouble opening up to somebody until she can be sure their intentions are right-minded, although she has often been fooled into thinking somebody is a lot better than they actually are. She could also be seen as kind of two-faced, due to her two different personalties: the subdued one, and the outgoing one.

Rory’s only fear before beginning at Hogwarts was that she would be sorted into Slytherin, and following being sorted into Ravenclaw, her main fear was that she wouldn’t live up to the expectations of her family. This was intensified when she discovered how popular her sister had been during her time at Hogwarts.
History:
Rory was conceived when her mother, a pureblood witch, who, after a fight with her husband, met up with one of her school friends from Hogwarts: a half-blood Slytherin named Casa Mattoe. The next morning she staggered home and 9 months later, Rory was born. She was named for her great great great-aunt Aurora Rose Pilahera. She grew up thinking that the other girl living with them was her full sister and the man of the house was her father.
When she was 8, and her sister, Amethyst was 12, Cilan was killed in an “accident”. Rory would later find out that there had been a disagreement between he and other Death Eaters. Rory never really had a problem with it because she had been accepted as a the daughter of Cilan and Maeve. It was that year that Rory found out that the boarding school Amey had gone to was Hogwarts, where she had been sorted into Slytherin, like her mother and father, her mother was a witch, her father wasn’t really her father and Veronica was only her half sister. Rory felt quite a bit of resentment towards her mother after thìs revelation, but on the flip side she felt somewhat relieved because she had an excuse as to why she had never really connected with the man she thought was her father. Amey became her closest family member after this because she was the only one who hadn't lied to her. After Cilan’s death, the family moved from Manchester into a smaller, but fancier apartment in London. When Rory’s sister was in her final year at Hogwarts, their mother was disappeared, and after a month was presumed dead. It was at this point that Amey became Rory’s full time guardian.
Amey is accepting of Rory, but never fails to make reference to the superiority of Slytherins in comparison to the other Hogwarts houses. But to her credit, she hasn't attempted to turn Rory to the dark side yet.

'Pink?' she thought, admiring her hair. She didn't mind pink. Rory grabbed the pink strands and plaited them roughly before pulling her hair into a messy ponytail.
