Personality: Ben is very sensitive to the feelings of those around him and is easily influenced by the moods of others. As a result, he seems to be quite moody and his moods don't always reflect what is going on in his own life. Happy or sad, his mood is largely determined by the people with whom he spends most of his time.
Ben gives and receives affection easily, which can lead to people thinking he is a bit of a doormat. However, Ben does not take things lying down and those who mistakingly try to take advantage of his placidity will find that when he is rouse to anger, he does not calm down easily.
Ben is quite possessive of his friends and doesn't like to share them with anyone else. He is comfortable with the small group of himself and his two best friends - Aury and Izzy - but he gets jealous easily when he sees them making friends outside of the group. When the three get older and those two start dating boys, it will not be pretty.
Ben's feels influence his decisions so greatly that it is impossible for him to be objective. He has a good sense of what is and isn't right for him, though, so as he grows up he will learn to differentiate between emotional whims and real intuition.
He is very energetic and self-assertive and he would never retreat from a fight. In point of fact, he often looks for conflict where there is none. He is impulsive and restless and has a tendency to only see his own side of things, becoming quite angry when someone challenges his beliefs.
Strengths: Both magical and personality: Ben's best subject is Charms. His mother was quite gifted at it and passed that gift on to him, apparently. She used to show him little Charms when he was younger, though he could not, of course, attempt them as an underage wizard with no wand. He works harder in that subject than others, because he wants her to be proud of him.
Ben is a fiercely loyal friend. There is nothing he wouldn't do for his best friends and he is very passionate about what he feels is right. Though he is normally practical and level-headed, nothing will arouse his temper or cause him to act rashly like seeing someone he cares about threatened.
Weaknesses: Both magical and personality: Ben's worst subject by far is DADA. He just cannot cast a hex or defensive spell to save his life. He works hard to try and improve, because it's really embarrassing that his best friends - two GIRLS - are constantly rescuing him from anyone who wishes to bully him, because he fails at defending himself. Unfortunately, his hard work hasn't really paid off so far.
Ben is VERY stubborn. Once he's made up his mind, it's nearly impossible to change it. He has quite the violent temper when pushed hard enough, which has a tendency to get him into trouble more often than not, since even though he can't hex for the life of him, he'll jump right in and try if someone pushes his buttons enough.
Fears: Ben is very claustrophobic. He hates feeling confined and as a result, he doesn't do very well in Potions classes, feeling that the dungeons are far too dank and closed off. He will have to overcome this fear if he's to do better in that class.
History: Benny was born and raised in South London. He has a younger sister named Alexa, who he adores most of the time, even though she can be quite annoying with the way she follows him around and repeats nearly everything he says. He forgives her for this, because she is only 6 and therefore obviously doesn't know any better.
His father teaches primary school - a fact that was quite embarassing when Ben was attending said school, but now that he's at Hogwarts, it doesn't bother him so much. His mum owns a shop in Diagon Alley.

The hat had a difficult time deciding where to place him, because he exhibits traits of most of the houses, especially Puff loyalty and patience and Slytherin Determination and Cunning. In the end, however, it was his fierce temper, his sense of justice and chivalry, in short, his pure sense of heart (and the fact that he'd heard on the train that Gryff was the best house) that decided where he should go and the hat finally send him to Gryffindor.

Ben pushed his truck onto the train, his Hogwarts letter still clenched in his hand. He was practically bouncing with excitement that he was finally going to the school his mum had spoke of her whole life. He stopped about halfway down the train, pushing open the door to the compartment to see two girls already chattering away as though they had been lifelong friends (though he would find our later that they'd met just five minutes before he happened along).
Grinning at the pair, he stowed his trunk before taking a seat across from them.
"Hi, I'm Ben," he told them, grinning again as they greeted him, introducing themselves as Aury and Izzy. By the time the train arrived at Hogsmeade station, he was quite sure the three of them would be very good friends.
By the time they were all three sorted to Gryffindor, he was certain of it.
